Getting Around in Melbourne
There are few places in Melbourne better served by public transport than Richmond. Alto is on the doorstep of Melbourne, just minutes from the city by the Swan Street tram. The stop is right at our corner.
The number 70 tram route takes you through the sporting precinct. With an all day ticket, you can make unlimited stops. You can go to the MCG, the main sporting stadium in Melbourne for a quick visit, or you can visit the new Soccer and Rugby stadium (AAMI Park) or the Tennis Centre, which also doubles as a premium entertainment stadium. People from all over Melbourne come to attend performances.
The trams up Church Street (numbers 78, 79) take you north to the fashion outlets and restaurants in Bridge Road and the restaurants nearby. Heading south takes you directly to another short term stop the Chapel St Fashion shopping and club area. The all day ticket gives travel unlimited on all public transport. Richmond station is one stop from Melbourne city and a hub for eastern Melbourne suburbs, ideal for short or longer term stops.
