Outlet Shopping in Richmond
Richmond’s Swan Street and Bridge Road are shopping outlet heaven. Even the tram drivers annouce the stops here with “girls, get your plastic fantastic ready, go!” Just a few of the cheek by jowl outlets include – Dianna Ferrari Outlet, Country Road Outlet, Jag, Ojay, Nine West, Kamakazi, Geoff Bade, Perri Cutten, Anthea Crawford, Chocolate Factory, Wittners Shoes, Prospect Winery Clearance, Field’s Knitwear, Bra’s N’Things.
Then when you’ve shopped till you’ve dropped there are lots of cool cafes to rest weary feet and compare bargains with your friends while sipping that latte.
Remember the rules of the “Art of Bargain shopping”
1. make a plan of what you need/want to get on the day and don’t buy on impulse unless something is totally discounted
2. take lots of breaks for coffee and thinking over what you really want
3. ask for help from the shop staff, they can help you find that great bargain because they know what’s in stock and where its hidden
4. you won’t be able to return factory outlet buys so make sure you like what you’re about to buy and it fits you now (don’t buy for that day ‘when I’m a few kilos lighter’).
5. don’t buy just for the price
6. go with a friend, they can look out for bargains for you and you can look out for them
7. remember to be on the lookout for bargain presents for friends and family birthdays and Christmas as well as for yourself
